Hon var dotter till Magnus Brynolf Malmstedt, som var professor vid universitetet i Uppsala, och gifte sig 1780 med kommerserådet och tidningsredaktören Carl Peter Lenngren. Anna Maria Lenngren, née Malmstedt, (born June 18, 1754, Uppsala, Sweden—died March 8, 1817, Stockholm), Swedish poet whose Neoclassical satires and pastoral idylls show a balance and moderation characteristic of the Enlightenment period and are still read for their gaiety and elegance. Anna Maria Lenngren was the eldest daughter of a Moravian Church Latin master in Uppsala.
